Activities: Getting ready for show
Technical Information: Internet
Reflection: This experience affected my plans by showing me a portion of the behind the scenes action that takes place in order to run a successful show. If it hadn't been for this internship my knowledge about the fund development area wouldn't be what it is today. You have to make sure that everyone who donated to your cause gets some sort of benefits and you have to make sure you keep in contact with them because you never know when you will need that again. Therefore, it taught me another side of networking as well. I still plan on going to college and majoring in mass communication and journalism to study film specifically.

Post #8 Date: 8 /30/16 Activities: Grant Video Technical Information: Internet and iMovie Reflection: While working here i’ve learned that I thrive best in an environment where creative ideas are accepted. Whenever I had an idea and shared it with the interns or the development director I never felt as if my ideas were being disregarded. This kept my creativity going and because of this I was able to produce great work. This showed me that I want to have a career where I'm free to execute my creative visions. I don't want to ever feel like I'm limited to doing someone else says. I want to make things my own.

Post #2 Date: 6/30/16 Activities: Work on Intranet Technical Information: Internet Reflection: The work atmosphere is comfortable and cooperative. It’s a medium size office area where the adults who actually work here have their own cubicles. You can hear pretty much all conversations unless it is said in a whisper tone. The walls are painted yellow with portraits of musicals and plays that have taken place here hanging up. I sit at a table with other interns and we all have our own specific jobs to work on. I enjoy this because if I need any help I know I can ask them and they will help me out. Also, it makes me want to work harder because I’m around others who are doing what it takes to succeed. The dress code is business casual. Some days I will wear and dress and other days I will wear jeans but with a nice dress top. I always aim to dress nicely though.
